First trained in Judo for 1 Year at Palmers Green Youth Centre 1977. Then trained in Wing Chun in the Wing Chun Martial Arts Academy at Great Portland Street for 1 Year 1983, and then trained in Wing Chun under Garry McKenzie at Palmers Green / Edmonton / Hoddesdon / Hackney from 1986 to date.

Competed in full contact kick boxing 1991 and finally retiring after losing an attempt at the super-middleweight British title. Various Seminars nationally and abroad (Norway) Chinese New Year demonstration of knife attack defenses at London's Leicester Square. Lateral training with various martial artists - Tae Kwon Do, Kick-boxing, White Crane, Karate, Aikido etc.
